My Story
Living with chronic health conditions since childhood, including Type 1 Diabetes and Hashimoto's disease, I know what it's like to need more support than what’s typically offered. That understanding is at the core of my practice: offering care that fills in the gaps and meets people where they are.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, I grew up with a deep love for the arts. I attended the High School for Creative and Performing Arts, where I majored in Vocal Music, and later performed in various indie/pop bands. After a vocal cord injury, I turned to acupuncture as part of my healing, and realized it was the missing piece in my own care.

In college, I studied Cultural Anthropology and was introduced to medical anthropology, which expanded my understanding of healthcare beyond the allopathic model. While I have a deep respect for Western medicine, I’ve found that integrating it with other healing traditions - like Traditional Chinese Medicine - can offer more comprehensive and individualized care.

My Training

I hold a Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Won Institute in Warminster, PA, earned after three years of intensive graduate study in the theory and practice of East Asian Medicine. I am board certified by the NCCAOM and licensed under the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. .

I have continued to expand my expertise through advanced training in both neurological and perinatal acupuncture. I completed Dr. Poney Chiang’s Neuro-meridian Acupuncture of the Lower Extremity course, a deep dive into the anatomical and neurophysiological basis of acupuncture for treating complex nerve-related and pain disorders. Dr. Chiang’s work bridges classical channel theory with modern neuroanatomy, offering an evidence-informed model for neurological acupuncture. I am in the process of pursuing advanced certification in Neuromeridian Acupuncture to deepen my specialization in neurological care.

Having originally trained under specialists in Sports Medicine and Acupuncture Physical Medicine, I focus on treating physical pain and musculoskeletal conditions using a blend of channel theory, trigger point therapy, otherwise known as dry needling, and motor point stimulation (neuromuscular acupuncture). Worsley Five Element (5E) acupuncture remains a cornerstone of my practice, especially in providing trauma-informed care and supporting emotional regulation.

I’ve also done continuing education with Dr. Deb Davies, a renowned leader in perinatal acupuncture, gaining valuable tools for supporting patients through fertility, pregnancy, labor preparation, and postpartum recovery.

As part of my clinical training, I interned with the Won Institute’s “Go-To-Them” community clinic, providing on-site acupuncture to veterans and residents of rehabilitation centers throughout Philadelphia. These treatments supported opioid recovery program retention and addressed issues like addiction, insomnia, anxiety, and pharmaceutical dependency.
